The Academy hopes to continue and expand its activities. The following are some specific goals intended for the year 2008-2009

1. Increase Online courses:
• courses for youth/children during the holidays
• parenting courses
• offer basic courses for reverts and those wishing to know the basics about Islam
• recruit a variety of instructors to offer their expertise
2. Arabic – ALI is Inshallah planning to start teaching Arabic online. We will be offering Arabic as a language, as well as Quranic Arabic for ladies and gents. This has been requested by community members and will be very useful to help participants understand the language of the Qur’an.
3. More short courses, both on site and Portable. The short courses that ALI offers are practical and only need a short term commitment. This is useful for many members of our communities who wish to seek knowledge but are not in a position to commit for long term courses in hawzas and seminaries.  We hope to increase such short courses on Beliefs, Akhlaq, Tareekh, and other topics relevant to everyday life. We hope this will give more opportunities for people to get inspired and learn more.
4. Outreach program
• activate other branches of ALI Outreach
• work on programs aimed at educating society about issues like Hijab, womens’ issues etc.
• create more resources for Outreach
